Connectivity to Bargarh

Courtsey Navaratnanews:
Bargarh is the district head quarter of Bargarh district that is located on 21-20’ North latitude and 83-37’ east longitude. Bargarh is at a distance of 50 Kilometers from Sambalpur city and 370 Kilometers from the state capital Bhubaneswar and 230 Kilometers away from Raipur city (Chhatisgarh). Bargarh is well connected by road (National Highway – 6, Kolkata-Mumbai) and (National Highway – 201, Bargarh-Boriguma) National Highway towards Visakhapattnam of Andhra Pradesh). It is at a distance of 1375 Kilometers away from Mumbai and 575 Kilometers away from Kolkata.

New suggestions: (1. Road Transport & Highways)
National Highway 201 links Boriguma on National Highway with Baragarh (Borigumma-Bolangir-Bargarh). The highway has a total length of 310 km. National Highway 201 originates at Boriguma in Koraput District and runs northwards through Nabarangpur-Ampani-Baldhiamal to reach Bhawanipatna, (cover the distance of 128 km). Beyond Bhawanipatna, the road continues through Kesinga-Saintala-Balangir-Barpali and meet at Baragarh on National Highway 6.

For more information if we check the NH 200, it runs trough Raipur-Bilaspur-Raigarh-Kanaktora-Jharsuguda-Kochinda-Deogarh-Talcher-Chandhikhol. For the socio-economic development of the backward region (which are not yet connected with NH in Bargarh district), we propose for the extension of the NH 201 from Bargarh to Raigarh (Chhatisgarh) covering through Bhatli and Ambabhona. At the other hand we also propose to connect the NH 217 (Raipur-Nuapada-Bhawanipatna-Kandhamal-Gopalpur) from Bargarh via Bijepur-Gaisilat-Padmpur-Paikmal-Jharbandh-Nuapada. NHs are not only the source of socio-economic growth rather these will also help us binding together.
